Based on information shared by the @bbtn_gunungleuser account, citing the @floraindonesia_id account, here are 5 types of distinctive flora that can be found in Gunung Leuser National Park (GLNP).
1. Begonia olivacea (Begoniaceae)
Discovered by LIPI researcher Wisnu H. Ardi in 2011, Begonia olivacea is endemic to GLNP and inhabits karst rocks. This Orchid is small in size with slightly round green-patterned leaves.

2. Anoectochilus longicalcaratus (Orchidaceae)
This Orchid can only be found in North Sumatra and is quite challenging to locate. Typically, it lives at the forest floor, blending with leaf litter. The leaves of this Orchid are reddish-brown with golden veins.
3. Scindapsus pictus hassk
This Orchid can be found in many regions in South to Southeast Asia. In Indonesia, it is known as "Sirih Gading." Usually, it grows in forests and has climbing characteristics with silver-patterned green leaves.
4. Polyalthia macropoda king
This Orchid plant bears fruit on its stem. You can find this Orchid in lowland areas with a height reaching up to 24 meters.

5. Johannesteijsmannia lanceolata J. Dransf
This Orchid with a long name grows in lowland areas, near the east coast of Sumatra and the Malaysian Peninsula. This plant is also known as Palem “Daun Sang" and is classified as "Endangered" in conservation status.***
